Markesan, WI, Investment Casting Plant

Opened in 1945, our Markesan investment casting facility, originally Precision Metalsmiths Inc., became part of Avalon Precision Metalsmiths as a result of the 2014 acquisition with Keystone Capital.

Key industries for the 79,500-square-foot facility include aerospace and defense, machine tools, medical and hand tools. Its key alloys include stainless steel, low-medium alloy steels and tool steels. The plant specializes in vacuum-assisted investment casting.

Our Markesan facility, in conjunction with our Cleveland, OH, and Jackson, WI, plants offers redundant engineering and manufacturing capabilities. Its focus is on lowering our customers’ cost of ownership, with a commitment to long-term partnerships that deliver investment castings that surpass our customers’ expectations.

The plant is certified to ITAR, AS 9100D and ISO 9100:2015 and is also NADCAP-certified for non-destructive testing.

The Markesan operations manager is Daniel De Deker, a 23-year Army veteran with extensive manufacturing and quality assurance expertise.
